We have some wonderful submissions for next year’s agenda from Mr. Wilson and Ms. Neub’s art classes. Traditionally students would submit their artwork for selection by school staff. This year, we want to invite students to choose their agenda cover from four outstanding options.

Good news from Chemistry. Out of 4253 students Ivan, Emily, Callum, and Astrid are ranked within the 80th percentile in Canada in the Avogadro Chemistry Contest. Congratulations to all who wrote the exam.
Once again, grade 12 Chemistry students have done exceptionally well on the “Chem 13 News Exam” coordinated by the University of Waterloo. Five of our students (Chris, Jackson, Lily, Ankit, and Ruthie) are ranked within the 80th percentile in Canada, most notably; Chris is placed 5th in Canada.
This is a reminder for students who want to take summer school courses – either face to face or e-learning. You will not be officially registered in your course until you return your signed permission forms to your guidance counsellor. Please be sure to do this by the applicable deadline.
Deadlines for summer school are approaching quickly – July elearning deadline is June 19th. Danforth Summer School at George Brown and SWAC deadline is June 26th and July Face to Face Summer School deadline is June 29th.

Yearbooks are here! Yearbooks are here! woot woot! Today and every day this week at lunch in A12 yearbooks will be handed out to students who have purchased one. Students must enter only from the north door of A12 and exit from the south door after receiving their yearbook.
Math Clinic has been extended to three days a week from Tuesday to Thursday inclusive for the rest of the academic year. Please join us in B58 after school to work on your math problems, prepare for the upcoming June exams and the Math EQAO.
The annual glider contest was held in the north gym on June 4th. The grade 11 engineering design classes had spent the past couple of weeks making gliders out of corrugated cardboard, foam-core and corrugated plastic. The gliders this year were among the best Ms. Tevlin had ever seen with the some of them travelling 30 meters. Congratulations to the winning team of Susheen, Varun and Samuel.
Last week Syed was “caught reading” and won a Tim Horton’s gift card! On Thursday we will draw from all the entries for the Indigo-Chapters gift card. Keep reading everyone!
