Good Morning students, Toronto Police Service in collaboration with Danforth Collegiate & Technical Institute will host an exciting fund raising event called, Cram-A-Cruiser on May 27th, 2016 during our annual barbeque event. Yes, you heard correctly, we’re having a barbeque on Friday and it’s FREE to all students! Participation in this fund raiser is simple! Bring as much none perishable items as you can to completely fill our School Resource Officer’s cruiser. All of your donations will be collected and weighed as we compete with other schools and police services in Ontario to see who can donate the most amount of food items for such a worthy cause. All food or monetary contributions will be delivered to the Daily Bread Food Bank and they will deliver it to families in Fort McMurray, Alberta who lost their homes and are in dyer need of this assistance. Thank you all for your participation! Remember, if each person brings at least one non-perishable food item, as a school we would have helped to feed at least 1000 families at a time when they need it the most.  See you out there!!!

Attention all students attending Prom!!  Anyone suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be admitted.  Doors close at 7:00 p.m. sharp and no one will be admitted after that time.  Seating will be on a first come first seated basis.  You must present your ticket and valid photo ID (student card, driver`s license, health card, etc.) to enter.  There will be no exceptions to this rule.  There will be no in/out privileges during the evening.  H. The 21 member Danforth Track and Field team competed Monday and Tuesday at the Regionals at Centennial Stadium.  Three athletes advanced to the City Championships:  Hannah Dmoswki with a silver in Midget Girls Javelin and a bronze in Discus; Gareth Harwood with a bronze in Senior Boys 100 Metre Dash and a silver in the Long Jump; and John Reston with a silver in Senior Boys Shot Put and golds in Discus and Javelin.  All athletes on the team are to be commended for their commitment to training, their competitive spirit and the way they supported each other during this 2016 season.  J.
