Big shout out on the epic Coed Volleyball South Region Final.  The team played with so much heart and lost a tough 5 set match to Humberside CI.  Outstanding play by all team members.  The team earned a silver medal for their efforts.  The coaching staff would like to thank all team members for dedication and heart.  M. The Danforth Track & Field team completed two fun and successful days at the Regionals.  Highlights included:  3rd place for Nevan Naug in the Midget Boys 100 Metre Hurdles; 5th place for Kelly Ng in the Senior Girls 200 Metre Dash; 4th place for Gareth Harwood in the Senior Boys 100 Metre Dash; 1st, 2nd and 4th place finishes for John Reston in the Senior Boys Javelin, Discus, and Shot Put respectively; and a surprising 3rd place finish for our Senior Boys 4 X 100 Relay Team of Gareth Harwood, Garnet Rotenberg, Davon Boodoo and John Reston.  Well done to all who practiced hard all season and good luck to those moving on to the Metros next week.  J. Congratulations to the Girls Soccer Team for a great season!  The girls played their last game against Rosedale SA.  We dominated for most of the game but unfortunately were not able to beat the tied score.  Great job girls, the team showed solidarity and great improvement.  R. Cranswick

It was a big day for Danforth Baseball as they destroyed Rosedale SA 15-6.  The bats were alive and the defense was good.  Player of the game is Denier who laid down a perfect sacrifice bunt for 2 runs and made a great running catch.  Next game is Monday verses Jarvic.  K. Nizich

Big shout out to the Coed Volleyball team on their impressive semi-final win over Lawrence Park CI.  The team now plays in the Finals on Thursday at Western Tech.  The team is going for their 6th consecutive South Regional championship.  Let’s get her done!  Staff and students are allowed to be at the game on Thursday with a 3:15 p.m. start time however students must have their Student Activity card and they cannot sign out early.  It is a best 3 out of 5 set match.  Jump on that Danforth bandwagon and support your athletes.  M.
