Congratulations of a fantastic XhibitArt15 showing and reception last evening at the Todmorden Mills Paper Gallery on Pottery Road.  The event was catered by our award-winning Culinary Arts department and entertainment was provided by our Jazz Band.  Special congratulations to Aninda Poddar and Hali Brookson whose works won the AGO Award and to Catrin Nin and Abrar Razze whose works won the Above Ground Award.  All four paintings were the first purchased.  C. The “Make a Splash” contest for Toronto students is now open for entries!  The City of Toronto and RBC invite you to enter the “Make a Splash” contest and tell us why it’s important to you that we keep Toronto’s waterways – our rivers, streams, creeks, and our great big lake – clean.  One elementary and one secondary school will each win $5,000 towards a project to green their school, courtesy of RBC.  Entries will be accepted until May 22nd at 5:00 p.m.                   J. A reminder that the Tennis team will be practicing again tonight.  Tryouts for singles play will begin at 4:00 p.m.  All students must attend.  Please see Ms. Glover after school in Room B21 if you are unable to make it.  B. Glover

Did you chose Co-op for next year?  Great!  However, you are not in the program yet!!  Next, you will need to come for a brief information session in the Auditorium next Monday, May 1st at the beginning of lunch.  You will need this information to understand what you will need to do next before the end of this school year.  See you there!  D. Danforth’s Table Tennis team defeated North Toronto yesterday in the quarter finals.  Way to go team!  H. Kwan

The Girls Soccer team played hard against Riverdale CI coming back from a 2 goal deficit with a goal scored by Li May Hu late in the second half.  Great effort and work ladies.  Go Redhawks!!  R. Cranswick

Track and Field!  The Danforth Track team competed in the Birchmount Mini-meet yesterday.  John Reston finished 3rd in shot put, while Dante Jackson won his heat in the 400 metres.  J. Vidovich
