Congratulations to 4 of our Physics students.  They placed in the top 10% in the University of Waterloo’s extremely difficult Physics contest which is written by students around the world.  They are Isaac Ellmen, Samual Yigzaw, Greg Morenz and Liam Cummings.  R. Tevlin

The Danforth Girls Soccer team is playing in the Semi-finals today at 3:45 p.m. against Riverdale CI.  Teachers please excuse the team at 2:25 p.m. to prepare for the game.  Go Red Hawks!!  R. Cranswick

Danforth CTI Agenda Cover Contest!!  Your task is to design a cover for the student agenda.  The cover theme is up to you but the message should be positive.  You could choose to promote all of the neato aspects that make DCTI unique.  All work must be original in order to be considered.  Finished submissions are due to Mr. Bain or Ms. Neub by June 13th at 3:00 p.m.  T. A big congratulations to the students who participated in the University of Toronto National Biology Contest last month.   Nahian Khan scored in the 63.9 percentile; Jessie Yang scored in the 72.8 percentile; Zak Georgis-Yap scored in the 81.8 percentile; and Chelsea Chow scored in the 98.7 percentile.  Chelsea was awarded a National Biology Scholar Certificate.  Congrats to all.  J. Congratulations go out to your Girls Slo-Pitch team who playing in yesterday’s quarter-final game against Bloor CI.  They were down by 4 runs early but great Danforth pitching, defence and timely hitting resulted in us coming back to win by 6-4!  Great job Red Hawks!!  Go get them in the semi-finals!!  Remember all players have a quick meeting right at the beginning of lunch in Room B37.           A. Attention all students!  The Earl Beatty Community Fun Fair is being held this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and they are in need of some volunteers.  If you are looking for a fun way to complete your volunteer hours, please come by the Guidance Office to speak to Ms. Romani for more details.  Just in – volunteers are still needed for another fun fair being held on June 7th!  Get out, spend time in the sun and help your community.  J. Congratulations to Zak Georgis-Yap for winning the silver medal at SATEC’s Invitation Table Tennis Tournament on Friday.  Its the third year in a row that a Danforth student has medaled at this tournament.  H. Kwan
